JOHN'S DEATH FOR GLORY?-Last year I read from the parole board for Mark David Chapman-the man who shot John Lennon Dec 8,1980 said he was seeking glory and that he deserved the death penalty for the despicable act. The parole of course denied him for the 11th time. The 65 year old inmate expressed remorse for killing the former Beatle outside his apartment building. "I assassinated him because he was very,very famous and that's the only reason and I was very,very,very much seeking self glory. Very selfish." He said. Looking back 40yrs called his actions creepy and despicable and thinks all the time the pain he inflicted on Lennon's wife Yoko Ono. "I just want her to know that she knows her husband like no one else and knows the kind of man he was. I didn't." He said. JOHN AND YOKO were returning to their upper side apartment .
