BRET HITMAN HART!






BRET THE HITMAN HART was one of my all time favorite WWE Superstars and still is.In the beginning Bret was part of the Federation known then as WWF which was better if you ask me,but the federation was a place legends were made,wrestling and entertainment made Saturday Night's Main Event a big event to me.A place where tag team partners became single endorsements and faces of the WWF.Hart Foundation and the Rockers are examples.

But I've watched Bret Hart grow from a tag team partner to a fighting WWF Champion.To me he was the best technical wrestler of all time and when he beat a legend known as the Nature Boy Ric Flair for the WWF title I was the happiest person in the world.Even got to see Bret in person when he came to Rockford.As he walked around the ring greeting fans after his defending the title I was among the many that high fived him.

Bret was one of many in family that emerged from what he called the Dungeon where his father Stu Hart was already a legend himself and taught his sons as well as others.And out of that Dungeon was Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith.Two I admired a lot too.God bless all of them.

1997 was not a good year I think for Bret and WWF.Stone Cold Steve Austin emerged and the whole scene in the WWF changed.They called it the Attitude era.That night Bret was screwed out of the WWF title against Shawn Michaels.I have to admit watching the WWF since the 80s to see this didn't seem like the WWF I started watching.Bret was angry,Vince became a different character.It may have worked for the audience,but to some of us the Federation was better than the Entertainment of new.

When Bret left it took time to get used to.But I was glad he and Vince reunited and a DVD collection of Bret's greatest matches was made and I've got it and will cherish it because it brings me back to a time when the Best there was,the best there is and the best there ever will be led the Federation with a group of Superstars like no other.

In the last the WWE as it now is still emerges with superstars that entertains like John Cena,The New Day,Randy Orton,Bray Wyatt and the rest including COO Triple H who a legend himself helps keep the business going.I am grateful.But I will never forget that place the Federation that gave us "The Excellence of Execution."

LEARN FROM PAST

  "We can draw lessons from the past,but we cannot live in it." President Lyndon B. Johnson.  Learning and looking ahead makes a journey lessonable and rewarding. For the past is filled with mistakes as well as successes. And both are equally vital in learning in order to see the hopes of tomorrow.  If we fail to learn and understand the past we end up living in it. For it keeps repeating.  And if it keeps repeating, the worse it gets. So let us draw where the lessons are learned, teach where it's never repeated  so that we live for today and not yesterday.  And when we live for today. Tomorrow won't be so uncertain.  We shall overcome when we learn.And in each of us from family, education, community, faith and work ethics,we will be strong in each and our society will be great.  For a dream that is built by us all is a frontier we will accomplish together and America will be the promise we know it can be. So let us learn in order to see.

HAPPY AS WE MAKE UP OUR MINDS!

  "We are as happy as we make up our minds to be." Abraham Lincoln. I'm the happiest when I write-happiest taking a scrap piece of paper and start scribbling on it. Example like reading a quote from President Lincoln and writing it down because it tells me something. I find my treasure in scrap paper.So much I have it all over my office. When I see a quote or something comes to mind that strikes me.I grab that piece of paper and write it down. Something peaceful about a pen and a piece of paper.You can simply scribble and be just as happy with words.If the notes touch you,then you read it again and again.Sometimes I hurry writing and then can't read what I wrote. That disturbs,but I need to slow down when I write. But some of my writings I think to myself,"Did I just write that?"
