REMEMBERING JOHN WAYNE!

JOHN WAYNE REMEMBERED-40YRS AGO

"Don't use my name for anything other than helping people with cancer."-John Wayne telling his kids.

40yrs ago an American icon passed away June 11,1979.He died battling cancer. No one in Hollywood had much of an impact more than 'The Duke.'He was definitely  a favorite in our household.

There was so many classic lines from his movies, but he would be proud of his family today.I remember reading somewhere that before he died he let the doctors use his condition to find answers to this terrible disease called cancer. He knew others had or were facing it and wanted to help on his end.

It shows the example of a great man he was.And according to the story by his kids in Closer magazine he raised his family to have respect which many today lack respect. His son Patrick and another fine actor told Closer:

"He was a big guy on core values-friendship,being trustworthy, honest and loyal. We learned these things by example and the way he lived his life.He didn't say,"You do this, you do that."We just knew what he respected."

You can tell John Wayne did a good job.

His daughter Marisa said:

"His greatest lesson?Understand everybody is doing their best, and you have to respect everybody you encounter.Even,if you disagree, you disagree respectfully."

It's a value everyone should be taught,no matter what field  your in.Everyone tries, even those you disagree with.God blessed the world with John Wayne and blesses greater when we learn those values of respect and live by them.God bless his soul and God bless those who are fighting cancer.May we find answers to this terrible disease that took so many and made others suffer fighting it.

TONIGHT MCCLINTOCK which is my favorite and I intend to watch it in rememberance of a great American patriot and actor.

"Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway."-John Wayne. And he certainly did. Thanks 4 listening.
