REMEMBER RFK 100TH ANNIVERSARY.

"If we fail to dare,if we do not try,the next generation will harvest the fruit of our indifference;a world we did not want,a world we did not choose, but a world we could have made better by caring more for the results of our labors. And we shall be left only with the hollow apology of T.S.Eliot,"That is not what I meant at all. That is not it at all.""

-Robert F.Kennedy.

It seemed to me at the end of the 60s we quit daring as much as we did in the early 60s.And since then the world's changed and not for the good.It is why even though so many oppose him but President Trump in my opinion is trying to get us to dare again. Not by daring more to hate which some are doing, but dare to get past our differences and while I say he's trying he's also at times can be his own worst enemy.Because words matter and how we use them matters.

By making America great to me is by first getting America to be good again. We can harvest more with good fruit than bad fruit. We can lead America by leading the world in good causes.I know we didn't ask for these struggles, but often we create them for one by not caring. We live in this world to help it turn not stop it by our wars and divisions and hate.Yet we do.We ignore the darkness of history by repeating it and it is why it disturbs our present and that is not what we meant when we call for, work for and defend for peace.

The fruit of our indifference has been passed to the next generations and that my fellow citizens is not progress.Anger is teaching our youth and where there is no compassion there is hate.We spend more time in conspiracy theories and colusion, that we ignore the task that we all must make to resolve and solve our differences. We are more concerned with power than poetry, that were not living up to our potential to which we were meant to do.

When Senator Robert F.Kennedy ran for president,he ran on compassion. Not opposing man,but proposing new policies. And he didn't just run on Vietnam,he ran because of the division in America. The mindless menace of violence to which he spoke of and later a victim of.He ran with the motto the last best hope for mankind he knew America could be.He ran with hope not just party and to make them happen we must make an effort.

An effort of coming together. An effort of non-violence not rioting and destroying cities. An effort of peace and goodwill among us.Will we,can we make an effort to this?RFK once said in quoting a poet,"If men do not build how shall they live?"How shall we live if we do not build a society of hope,of encouragement and resolve? Will we ever dare to try?

"The future is not a gift,it is an achievement."RFK said.Every generation makes its own future. It is the essential challenge of the present. And those who remember him and those of us who reflect on who he was I think we can do better in this essential challenge. We honor but fail to hear. For what's going on in this country in these last few years, the violence the division we should be as he believed we were..a compassionate country,a selfless country and regardless of who's in the White House or what news outlet you read or watch we still must reach out to our fellow man even those we disagree with.

Living in America requires we live to higher standards, because we are called for greater things.Lighting a candle not cursing the darkness. To spread faith and freedom around the world where it needs to know where liberty dwells there is freedom and where there is faith there is hope.We cannot let the recklessness of the few corrupt the many who are hopeful and steers our good ship, which carries our common bonds, where all is equal and faith in God  is the pedestal for all to see the true promise of America.

RFK pointed out that our lives on this planet is short, the work to be done is too great to let this negative spirit flourish and these negative spirits of hate and division are holding us back of being the nation were suppose to be and the longer we keep this spirit the more difficult the future will be.And that's not an achievement, that's destruction. And when we come to this conclusion we will begin to make a course correction and dare to achieve greatly again.Springing forth the human connection to better our human condition.

May we reflect on the spirit of Robert Kennedy, the spirit for which he lived and learn that compassion and selflessness helps begin to keep our country as one city on a hill and a nation out of many-one. May his loved ones, our countrymen and our president work towards this.Thank you.
