A Pioneer's hopes

ROCKY VERSUS CORONA! YO ADRIAN,WE'LL DO IT! It's another matchup of the century. A vicious fighter named Corona has been knocking the hell out of people, nations. So at home the Italian Stallion who's done enough battles in his career sees this fighter as a threat to not only freedom but also a threat to livelihood itself. He's worse than Ivan Drago but yet he comes from Russia too. If Rocky Balboa excepts this fight deep down it won't be an ordinary match. Keeping social distancing he must go the distance again. Rocky always did things because they were the right thing to do. Not out of revenge or just because others seek him to. But the Corona was more than just another fight. It was something he had to do even though at his age the threat of this fight could be deadly. But like Apollo Creed his friend he had to rise to this challenge regardless of the risk. It was no...

THE PRESENT DANGER! "I'm asking the members of the newspaper profession and the industry in this country to re-examine  their own responsibilities to consider the degree and the nature of the present danger and to heed the duty of self-restraint,which that danger imposes upon us all."-President John F. Kennedy. This was in the early 60s under the Kennedy administration. President John F. Kennedy spoke to the press who wasn't happy then when President Kennedy made clear of the threat but he had sounded like his speech was the president versus the press. To which he was right. Then as well as today there is no self-restraint  but while Kennedy did not call them the enemy of the people, they have been the enemy in some parts of their industry-the enemy of the truth. The mainstream media has been playing the political divide to which they should not be. They hammer the 45th President Donald Trump harder than anyone because he referred to them as the enemy o...

"To us family means putting your arms around each other and being there."                                                                             -Barbara Bush. FAMILY is one of America's greatest resources. When you have a strong family, you have a strong community. You don't then it disrupts everything else. WE TALK OF DYNASTY'S such as the Bush family,or the Kennedy's or even the Trump family, but look at what keeps them strong as a family-their togetherness. They succeeded within that helped them succeed without. They helped write chapters of history for America and being family was a big part of it. YE...

GIVE PEACE A CHANCE-REMEMBERING JOHN LENNON! At one time he said the Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ. To whichjj to me he blurted that out of excitement for his band but John Lennon was not just a rock star entertaining Rock and Roll. He was an artist with an imagination of peace. AT ONE TIME he and wife Yoko stayed in bed for a week promoting peace and with everything going on about the war in Vietnam John could see what was going on with war. FOR CHRISTMAS he sang for peace WAR IS OVER if you want it. To be together old and the young, the near and the dear. A wish for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year and hope its a good one. It is always great when wars happen and end that someone is out there singing for peace. Something to be thankful for. IN THE LAST they say John wasn't very spiritual but his music was uplifting. I felt he was getting his groove back when he was killed on that awful night of Dec 8,1980. It was hard to imagine him being taken ...

"The American Dream does not come to those who fall asleep."-President Richard Nixon. It seems many today have fallen asleep. Dreaming of entitlements instead of visioning and working in the arena of ideas. They'd rather march about climate change or spit anger at President Trump then work with their fellow man on working to better our society and our country. But the American Dream is not for the faint hearted either. It's for the strong spirit. Determined to rise to the occasion and build on the hopes  of not only their tomorrow's but the hopes of tomorrows for the nation. The American Dream is made for those who don't give up on the arena of ideas-who would search the unknowns instead of complaining about yesterday. For life is short and the great work is always ahead and it takes inspiration not negativity to steer us in great efforts to build on it. But it's a waste of spirit to spread anger and wish harm on some because you disagree on ...

LINCOLN-THE POWER OF HOPE-By Bob DeLacy Jr "The power of hope upon human extertion  and happiness is wonderful."-Abraham Lincoln. EXTERTION-The struggle, attempt, endeavor. We know hope faces a struggle in which any attempt be something or someone who tries to spread it thru human efforts usually has the fight of others who opposes hope or has the wrong idea of what hope is. Some think it's power and control, while others with patriotic heart and courage of steel feels hope is power and free. President Lincoln had the second. While the struggle of hope  took a toll, his feet stood firmly in place, trusting in the Providence above, while attempting to secure freedom to those still chained. HOW HAPPY Mr.Lincoln was when the Civil War ended. So happy he vowed to Mrs. Lincoln to make trips. The power of hope always lies in the struggle and those who endeavor in hope, makes the attempt despite the struggle. But in the Civil Wars case President Lincoln had to do more ...

DARE TO BE GREAT IS A CHALLENGE,not an entitlement. It's an opportunity not a guarantee. For the fruit of the toil is the determination to work to be great. For no one can say they're at the top of the mountain if they haven't climbed one.It takes a great dare to be great to climb one. It also takes courage. For greatness don't come without sacrifice and courage. And until we realize this fruit of the toil-greatness cannot come. AMERICANS have always had a history of daring to be great. Taking risks, risking their very lives and fortunes for something greater than themselves. It is this fruit of the toil we remember them. SO DARE TO BE GREAT because you believe in something greater than yourself. Don't do it for fame and glory because that's materialistic unreal. And it don't last. But be great that will live in the mystic chords of memory where it will be bright in the hearts of others who thought your dare and courage  was great. Thanks 4 listenin...
